Before The Lockdown
I know you finally have the time to seek Motivation from reading 'Meditations' by Aurelius I've myself had a self-help book haul But that was before the lockdown
I know you cannot post the photographs Of skiing in Shimla this part of the year, like every year, I'd stopped holidaying and posting about life, It's been one year, up until the lockdown
You're surprised to hear Rahul squeak when he's stressed Perhaps the 'age of texting' usurps one's auditory memory I don't chat often, but I still recall my pals' voices And have played them in my head, even before the lockdown
You complain about your crammed bookshelf And Uncle hiding his homeopathy treatment from you Well, my ebbed table and dad's frozen shoulder appointments Have kept me occupied even before the lockdown
Loneliness and silence of humans, not birds, Perhaps you're seeing this drab of a life just now Competitive exams have made people brazen like me I learnt to deal with this lockdown even before the lockdown
Be creative and find your catharsis in whichever form of creativity you are comfortable with.
It could be anything- a song, a painting, a poem, a story, a dance performance, rangolis, jokes/humor, culinary skills, mimicry and whatnot. There is no limit to creativity. Just unleash and share it with everyone!
