We have taken recourse to technology to address the challenge that COVID-19 has brought. With great pleasure and pride, we introduce to you- IASbaba’s e-Classroom Learning Programme (e-CLP). You aren’t required to go to the classroom anymore. The classroom will come to you. At the comfort of your home, you can access high quality lectures delivered by the expert faculty of IASbaba. The overall structure and details of the programme are mentioned in the subsequent paragraphs. Before we discuss the details of the program, let us ask you one question. You can’t even complain that you did so much of hard work and didn’t get the desired result because every second aspirant is putting that much of hard work. Where you have to edge past the other is the smart work. Work so that you improve yourself every single day. Hybrid Model of Classes The most important aspect of the program is the Hybrid Model we have adopted for delivering our content and communication. It refers to the setup where pre-recorded classes along with a live-streaming facility of Doubt Clearing Sessions will be made available. Need of Hybrid Model : Due to frequent Internet connectivity issues being faced across the country, it will upset the schedule and quality streaming of classes which has been experienced with many institutes across the country other than UPSC coaching also. From our experience and feedback from our students, we found that quality of Live Streaming is not as good as the recorded videos. Time management plays an important role in one’s preparation. Keeping this in mind, we have designed the course such that, focus on lectures are on delivering quality content in a stipulated time and this is followed by Live Doubt clearance session. Every student will have a personalised dashboard, a separate ‘e-learning portal’ wherein you can access the recorded videos, live discussion sessions, value add notes, daily tests(Prelims, Mains) for self-assessment and fortnightly full-length Prelims and Mains Tests, give feedback on the classes etc. all at one place! 2. Focus on Fundamentals through Strategy/Approach Classes While teaching we always keep in mind that building the basics in every subject is very important. We assume that students are starting with 0% Knowledge and we teach them from the basics to the standards expected from UPSC. Every subject is preceded by a Strategy or an Approach class where sessions will be in sync with UPSC trend with previous year’s questions analysis and discussing the topics where probability of asking the question is more. The UPSC trend analysis and the approach classes will give you clarity on what to read, what not to read and how to read. This will help you in building a strong foundation is your preparation. 4. Focus on Conceptual Understanding & Value Add Notes Major portion of the class will be focused on conceptual understanding and analysing an issue from 360 degree. Interlinking all GS papers and static portions with current affairs forms the core of program (e-CLP). It is also a major problem faced by all the students that what and how many sources are to be covered. With our value add notes (VAN), you will be able to declutter the complexity of UPSC syllabus. ESSAY GUIDANCE Guidelines will be provided to you on how to write an essay. 10 Essay Tests will be conducted and evaluated along with practice Essay topics at regular intervals. UPSC asks for two types of topics – a static/ factual topic and a philosophical topic. Approach for both is different and will be provided to you as part of the Program. Keeping Covid situation in mind we have decided that there will be no differentiation will be done between online and Offline Classes, once the conditions are conducive, offline programs will be started without any change in the fee structure.
